ON THE RESULTS OF
THE IV INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR

On November 5‑7, 2019 at the International Exhibition Centre, the largest and most modern exhibition venue in Ukraine, the IV International Trade Fair OILGASEXPO ′2019 was held.
The organizer is the International Exhibition Centre by support of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine.
The trade fair was held within the framework of the XVII International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future" co‑located with the XVII International Trade Fair "Power Engineering for Industry ′2019" and the IV International Trade Fair "Mining & Minerals Expo ′2019" at the exhibition area of about 12.000 sq.m.
This format gave the unique opportunity for participants and visitors to present technologies, equipment and services to a wide range of professionals and discuss ways of interconnected industries reforming at the one site.
On November 5, the official opening ceremony of the Forum and the trade fairs was attended by
- the Deputy Minister of Energy and the Environment of Ukraine Stanislav Kovalevsky,
- the Chairman of the Coal Industry Subcommittee of the Committee on Energy Housing and Utility Services of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Mykhailo Bondar,
- the Hero of Ukraine, the President of Assosiation "Ukrhydroenergo" Semen Potashnik,
- the President of the International Council on Large Electric Systems CIGRE in Ukraine Alexander Svetelik,
- Her Majesty's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Melinda Simmonz and other honored guests.
Welcoming the participants and guests of the Forum and the trade fairs, Stanislav Kovalevsky said that: "Ensuring energy security will be possible, including through efficient subsoil use and the introduction of modern technologies".
This year's OILGASEXPO ‘2019 was attended by 119 companies, 37 companies of them represented Austria, Belarus, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, France, Poland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, USA.
For the first time, the largest company of the Ukrainian oil and gas complex Naftogaz of Ukraine JSC, joined the trade fair. The enterprise carries out a full cycle of operations on fields exploration and development, exploitation and exploration drilling, transportation and storage of oil and gas, supply of natural and liquefied gas to consumers.
The stand of DENIMEX (USA), which provides a full range of services for drilling and overhaul of oil and gas wells became traditional. The company represented collective exposition with participation of Applied Oil Tools (Gotco) (USA), Bico Drilling Tools (USA), Bop Products (USA), Compass Directional Guidance (USA), Dj Tubular Services (Singapore), Drilling Tools International (USA), Dynalloy Industries Inc. (USA), Fluid Systems Incorporated (USA), Global Tubing (Forum Company) (USA), Hamburg Oil Tools (Germany), Reactive Downhole Tools (USA), Sivalls (USA), Tianhe Oil Group (China), Ulterra Drilling Techlogies (USA), Westco International Consulting (USA), Brand‑Wick LTD.
For the first time, the British Embassy in Ukraine presented its booth with the participation of the British oil and gas companies such as ALS Oil & Gas, Expro Group, Robertson Geologging Ltd, Aggreko UK, which offered visitors the latest technological developments.
Besides a wide range of services and equipment for oil and gas well exploration, drilling and development were presented by Beiken International Engineering Co. (China), Dezhou United Petroleum Technology Corp. (China), Micon Downhole‑Tools (Germany), Wuhan Longway Petroleum Technology Co. (China), Horizons Drilling Company, Weighting Agents Plant, KATT Ukraine, Komplekt Liga, Burova Technika, Ukrnaftagazservice, BTF‑Coltubing, Fidmash (Belarus), Kingdream Representation in Ukraine and others.
Gas regulating, compressor, pumping, heat exchange, filtering, ventilation equipment and many other products were offered to visitors by Kaishan Zhengzhou Mechanical & Electrical Equipment Co. (China), Mikropor (Turkey), Regional Gas Company, UKRRESURS, Dalgakiran Compressor Ukraine, Ekvives, Krioprom, SPCUE RPA, Nasosenergomash Sumy, MASHZAVOD TEKHNIKA, Internet‑Systems, REMA Boryslav Plant, Poltava Ventilating Plant, Stan‑Komplekt, Suchasni Kholodylni Tekhnologii, Ukrgazkomplekt‑2010, etc.
Equipment for repair, cleaning and protection of pipelines was offered to visitors by such companies as 3K Composite Technologies, Active Alliance Company, Hydroflow Ukraine, Corrocoat‑Ukraine, Ukrspetsmash Design Bureau and others.
Integrated diagnostic and monitoring, measuring equipment and automation, explosion‑proof equipment and a variety of remedies were presented by Kanex Krohne Anlagen Export GmbH (Germany), TEP Ex d.o.o (Croatia), Orion, WIKA Prylad, SP Radmirtekh, BANCOMZVJAZOK, German Tools Inspection, DIG, OC Profeks, RT Ukraine, Texika, Ukrtekstil, Center for Industrial Diagnostics and Control, etc.
Eximcargotrade, Skloprylad, Tek Engineering and Himlaborreactive presented laboratory equipment for the sector.
Automation systems, telecontrol and telecommunications technologies, as well as power and electrical equipment have been demonstrated by IDS GmbH (Germany), MDJ Electronic (Poland), Endress Group (Romania), Schneider Electric, ABB LTD, Klinkmann Ukraine, DITC Contact, Logikon, PROXIS TM, VD MAIS, WM Ukraine, Spetsbudkomplekt and others.
During three days of the Forum and the trade fairs more than 9,100 visitors from 49 countries were registered.
The IV Kyiv Conference on advanced drilling methods and enhancing oil and gas production "Drilling. Well Stimulation. Health, Safety and Environment" became one of the central business events.
Within the framework of the event, a series of conference sessions were held on the topic of modern drilling technologies and inflow intensification, as well as the legal, economic and political conditions of the oil and gas industry in Ukraine:
1. Section: "Drilling and overhaul of wells"
2. Section: "Development of resource base and modernization of oil and gas companies"
3. Section: "Drilling services and ecology"
In total, the conference was attended by more than 250 participants from 100 companies, including owners, executives and leading experts of the largest service and extraction companies of Canada, the USA, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Belarus and Ukraine.
One more important event is the International Conference "Problems of Engineering Education in Ukraine" organized by Naftogaz of Ukraine.
The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev and the Minister for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Tymofiy Milovanov.
In Ukraine there are huge potential reserves of hydrocarbons and increasing their production is in the state plans. For this purpose, new drilling equipment is purchased and modern technologies are being mastered, but the further development of the industry is hampered without highly qualified personnel. The conference was dedicated to the training of young engineers.
Regional Gas Company held a solemn presentation of gas regulating equipment manufactured by RGC PRODUCTION.
RGC PRODUCTION is a plant for the production of modern Cabinet‑type gas control points (GRPSH), which was launched by 19 gas distribution companies operating under the brand of the company RGC PRODUCTION.
The round table, consisting of four sections, was held by Directorate for Fossil Fuel of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine.
The following issues were considered during the event:
- the use of a mechanism for the conclusion of agreements on the distribution of products in the extraction of hydrocarbons
- development of oil refining and gas processing sectors, the market of oil products and transit of crude oil;
- the features of technical regulation for quality assurance of natural gas;
- actual problems of implementing EITI for opening data in the energy sector of Ukraine.
