REPORT ON THE RESULTS OF
THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
ELECTRO INSTALL '2018

On November 6‑8, 2018 the international trade fair for low‑voltage electrical equipment and electronics ELECTRO INSTALL '2018 was held successfully in Kyiv. The event is dedicated to the most capacious and demanded segment of the electrical market which products are used widely in all sectors of industrial, economic and household activities.
Automatic switches, differential automaton, starting and safety devices, switchboards, measuring devices, stabilizers, voltage and current transducers, low‑voltage cable and wire products, cable support systems, busducts, electrical installation products and wiring accessories, electronic components were presented at the expositions of the leading companies.
ELECTRO INSTALL '2018 was co‑located with international trade shows Power Engineering for Industry, Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy, OILGASEXPO and Mining Industry Expo.
349 exhibitors from 17 countries (Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, China, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Monaco, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, USA, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France) demonstrated their technologies and equipment.
On November 6 the Forum and trade fairs opening ceremony was attended by:
- Yuliia Pidkomorna, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine;
- Maksym Nemchynov, State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine;
- Oleksandr Svetelik, President of the Association "SIGRE‑Ukraine";
- Semen Potashnik, Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine;
- Anatoliy Tkachenko, CEO of IEC, and other honorary guests.
The synergistic effect of the simultaneous events ELECTRO INSTALL, Power Engineering for Industry, Energy Efficiency. Renewable Energy is obvious. The set of exhibition events of related industries significantly expanded the horizons of industrial review of displayed electrical products, energy‑efficient and energy‑saving technologies and significantly increased the number of visitors.
ELECTRO INSTALL '2018 participants were electrical products world largest producers, leading Ukrainian and foreign companies. The exposition was impressive with the variety of interesting stand design ideas, number of displayed products and wide presentation of working samples in action. Presented were breakthrough modern equipment, devices and technologies demanded by industrial and household customers to optimize energy consumption and reduce electricity costs.
One of the innovations of ELECTRO INSTALL was on‑site DEMO‑area. During 3 show days the trade fair participants had the opportunity of presenting their latest developments and proving their products advantages to existing and potential customers while live product demonstrations, master classes and contests. Visitors got up‑to‑date visual information from representatives of foreign and domestic brands such as EATON Ukraine, E.NEXT Ukraine, IEK Ukraine, Legrand Ukraine, Radpol S.A., Schneider Electric Ukraine, Siemens Ukraine, Vertikal Ltd., Odeskabel PJSC, Utex Ltd.
Technical design, construction, electrical installation, power, electrical engineering, other industries specialists had got an excellent opportunity of appraising the innovative potential of the electrical industry and becoming familiar with a wide range of modern electrical equipment of all voltage classes. In total, over 8,700 visitors from Ukraine and 39 countries registered at the event.
Electrical trade fairs of the IEC continue to gain momentum and hold promise for further development. Quantitative and qualitative composition of participants and visitors, increasing exposition area show a marked growth dynamics. Also the exhibitors noted developed infrastructure, high level of service, convenient location of the International Exhibition Center that created the most favorable conditions for trade fairs holding.
Participants of the trade fair ELECTRO INSTALL '2018 shared their impressions about the exhibition event and plans for the future:
Sergey Kuzovkin, Commercial Director of E.NEXT Ukraine, told that at the stand they presented solutions that would help to build the Smart grid system in Ukraine based on vacuum reclosers and the high‑voltage reactive power compensation system. He said, "The company presents energy‑efficient solutions for investors to return the investment as soon as possible. Such solutions are in demand in the market, because the cost of energy resources increases every year". He thanked the organizers of the trade fair for high‑quality organization and noted not only the quantitative, but also the qualitative growth of the exhibitors.
Andrii Oliinyk, Sales Engineer PDC, ESS of the company Eaton Electric, told, "Eaton is one of the global leaders in energy management sector. The representative office has been operating in Ukraine since 2003. At the trade fair we present a wide range of modular protective devices for household use, large circuit breakers for industrial distribution in high‑voltage power grids. At this trade show we are pleasantly surprised by the number of visitors and plan to participate next year."
Stanislav Nerovnia, Director of IEK Ukraine, said, "IEK is one of the leaders at the electrical market of Ukraine, has been present on the market for 16 years. Our motto is "stable quality at the affordable price." About the event he said, "The trade fair is taking part successfully, there is a huge number of visitors."
Eduard Zyuma, Director of KEAZ Group, said, "Our company is a manufacturer of low‑voltage equipment. The trade fair ELECTRO INSTALL became for us, perhaps, a discovery. We have not expected such an effective trade fair, a lot of final consumers of our product. We all enjoy it. Wait for us next year!
Roman Cherednichenko, Marketing and Advertising Department of Legrand Ukraine, told about Legrand brand portfolio, named the main brands represented in Ukraine (ВТicino ‑ Italian electrical equipment, Cablofil ‑ mesh trays, Minkels and Raritan ‑ equipment for data centers). He said, "Thanks a lot to the organizers for wonderful organization of the event, thanks for the interesting idea with DEMO‑area, there are a lot of interesting speeches, a lot of new products, it is always interesting to be in trend, know what is going on in the market, look at competitors' products and understand how far we are ahead."
Dmitry Kotiy, Sales Manager of the Leader Electric plant, told, "We produce complete transformer substations, cells, switchboard equipment; crane electrics is our second direction. Today at the trade fair we present vacuum circuit breakers produced at the plant. In this exhibition event we participate for the first time and we are very pleased with its organization."
The highly topical business program was devoted to efficiency of the domestic power industry, development of the electrical industry, implementation of modern technology solutions in power supply systems and electricity consumption. The following events were held: Scientific and Practical Conference "Standardization, Conformity Assessment and Market Supervision in Electrical Engineering. Problems of the State Purchases System and Their Solution. European Integration Changes"; presentations, master classes, contests at the DEMO‑area; V All‑Ukrainian Workshop of Power Engineers; "Nuclear Power Day"; round tables "IT and Cybersecurity in the Sector of Fuel and Energy Complex", "Background of Smart Grid Implementation in Ukraine".
