GENERAL REGULATIONS

1. Participation conditions
Participation in the Exhibition is regulated by the following documents:
- Application‑Contract with appendixes
- General regulations
All appendixes and General regulations are an integral part of the Application‑Contract.
To participate in the Exhibition, the Exhibitor shall submit a duly completed and signed Application‑Contract including all necessary appendixes to the Organizer. Submission of a signed Application‑Contract implies the acceptance of the General regulations by the Exhibitor. An Application‑Contract shall be submitted to the Organizer not later than 1 month before the opening of the Exhibition. Application‑Contracts that are submitted after the above deadline are handled based upon the availability of vacant exhibition space.

2. Participation fees and costs
Payment of all participation fees and costs shall be made by the Exhibitor according to the following clauses (as per prices listed in the Price List 1):

2.1. registration fee:
organizational work; publication of information in the exhibition catalogue, two catalogue copies; 20 invitation cards, exhibitor badges.

2.2. shell scheme booth
wall panels; fascia board with company name (no more than 15 characters in standard font); 1 socket (220V, 1 kW); 2 spotlights; 1 table, 2 chairs, 1 waste basket, carpet covering, clothes hanger.
Minimum exhibition space - 9 sq.m. Additional exhibition equipment and additional services may be ordered under Price Lists 2, 3.

2.3. raw space
Relevant raw space. Minimum exhibition space - 15 sq.m. Additional exhibition equipment and additional services may be ordered under Price Lists 2, 3.

3. Exhibitor badges
The number of badges provided by the Organizer to the Exhibitor is calculated depending on the size of the ordered and paid exhibition space as follows:
3 badges - 9-12 sq.m inclusive
5 badges - 13-30 sq.m inclusive
10 badges - 31-60 sq.m inclusive
15 badges - 61-100 sq.m inclusive. Subsequently, 5 badges are provided per every following 30 sq.m.
Extra exhibitor badges may be ordered by the Exhibitor under Price List 1.

4. Cost of external participation
Cost of external participation includes the following services: publication of catalogue information, 1 exhibitor badge, display and distribution of printed advertising media at the information desks.

5. Co‑Exhibitor participation conditions
Co‑Exhibitors are the companies that are present at the Exhibitor's exhibition space and display their products. The Exhibitor undertakes to notify the Organizer of the Co‑Exhibitor's presence at its exhibition area. The Co‑Exhibitor is admitted to participation in the exhibition by making payment of the organizational fee and signing the Application‑Contract with the Organizer or by including the amount of the additional organizational fee in the Exhibitor's Application‑Contract.

6. Method of payment
Upon the receipt of completed and signed Application‑Contract the Organizer issues an invoice to the Exhibitor. The invoice shall be paid by the Exhibitor in accordance with p.5 of the Application‑Contract.

7. Penalty
In case of violation by the Exhibitor of payment deadlines specified in the Application‑Contract, the Exhibitor shall pay to the Organizer a penalty in the amount of double rate of the National Bank of Ukraine which is current for the payment date per each day of the payment delay. Refusal either of part or the whole exhibition space may be done by the Exhibitor by providing the written notice to the Organizer not later than 60 days before the opening of the Exhibition. If the written notice is provided after the above deadline, the Exhibitor is responsible for paying a penalty in the amount of 100% of the total Application‑Contract.

8. Exhibition catalogue
The catalogue entry information form (printed or electronic version) must be sent to the Organizer in English not later than 1 month before the opening of the Exhibition. The following information is required: company name, phone and fax numbers (including country and area code), e-mail address, not more than 360 symbols of text. Additional text and advertising are paid for extra charge as per prices listed in the Price List 1. To order advertising in the catalogue the Exhibitor is required to provide electronic and printed layout original page.

9. Floorplan and allocation of exhibition space
Floorplan is a draft and is subject to changes by the Organizer. In case of such changes, the Organizer undertakes to inform about the changes the Exhibitor whose booth location has changed as a result thereof.

10. Exhibition open hours and security
Exhibition open hours: October 9‑11: from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., October 12: from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Organizer ensures general security of the exhibition site during the working hours (October 9‑11: from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., October 12: from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). The Exhibitor is responsible for the safety of its booth during exhibition hours. The Organizer is responsible for the safety of the exposition during off hours and night time (from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. of the next day). The Organizer recommends to insure the Exhibitor’s property against all risks. The Exhibitor is responsible for compliance with fire safety rules.

11. Cleaning
The Organizer provides cleaning of the aisles. Upon the written Exhibitor’s application, cleaning of its booth is provided for extra charge as per prices listed in the Price List 2.

14. Trade
Sale of goods at the Exhibition site shall be carried out according to the current Ukrainian legislation.
The Organizer is not responsible for the Exhibitor's non‑compliance or inappropriate compliance with the rules, regulations and requirements on trade activities in accordance with and subject to the legislation of Ukraine.
The Exhibitor is responsible for the infringement of the rules of retail and wholesale trade, rules of applying cash registers in accordance with the laws, legal acts, rules and other documents which regulate commercial activities in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine.

Over the years, the event has become the main trade fair in the field of fire and occupational safety, personal protective and rescue equipment. After all, it is the implementation of the newest products and innovative technologies, modern technical security systems and means of protection in Ukraine that is a guarantee of the security of every person and the state as a whole. That is why the fair is a great opportunity for the Service to study various emergency & rescue equipment, firefighting gear, to communicate with experts and further develop principles according to which we will update facilities and equipment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Interaction and communication of the exhibitors and visitors, discussion of current scientific and manufacturing issues within event program of the fair will facilitate sharing information for professional development, putting it into practice and decision‑making processes to fulfill the main tasks of the Service.


From 9 to 12 of October 2018, XVII International Trade Fair "Protection Technologies/FireTech‑2018", the leading event of Ukraine in civil defense, fire and rescue equipment and labor protection, took place at the International Exhibition Center. The fair was traditionally held in the joint format and concurrently with XV International Exhibition"Arms and Security‑2018" and ХI International Aviation and Space Salon "Aviasvit‑ХХІ".

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018The exhibitions were covered by 152 accredited media resources, including 18 foreign media such as Agence France Presse, Askeri Teknolojler, Associated Press, BBC News, C4 DEFENCE, defence24.pl, european pressphoto agency, European Security and Defence Mittler Report Verlag, MSI Turkish Defense Review, Scandinavian Aviation Press Agency, Reuters, SITA, Small Arms Defense Journal, Xinhua News Agency and others. Ukrainian mass media were represented by major TV channels and industry‑specific media: 1+1, ICTV, Inter, STB, TV Channel "Ukraine", Channel 5, Espresso TV, 112 Ukraine, ZIK, Ukrainian Military TV, Interfax Ukraine, Ukrinform, Unian, Focus, Censor.NET, Defense Express, Kyiv Post, Liga.net, Army of Ukraine, Narodna Armiya, National Industrial Portal and many others.

The exhibitions program comprised 37 scientific and presentational events. Joint format of the exhibitions made them a large‑scale international business and scientific event dedicated to a full range of issues of security of state and society. In general, 3 exhibitions covered the total space of over 30 000 sqm – 27 000 sqm in three halls indoors and over 3 000 sqm outdoors.

Total number of exhibitors – around 500 companies, including 57 foreign companies from 18 countries (USA, Poland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden, Ireland, Luxembourg, Denmark, Turkey, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Austria, Croatia, Slovakia, UAE, China, Kazakhstan).

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018Over 24 000 trade visitors attended the exhibitions, including the representatives of foreign companies from approximately 50 countries. The biggest number of visitors came from Turkey, Poland, Lithuania, China, UK, Slovakia, Czech Republic, France and UAE.

Among more than 70 exhibitors there were Ukrainian manufacturers and distributors, as well as foreign companies from Belgium, Ireland, Canada, USA, China, Italy and Germany.

The relevance of the event for the country was shown by a notable quantity of visitors – around 4 000 trade visitors from Ukraine and abroad.

The event attracted the attention of the representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, emergency rescue service units, united territorial communities and experts in fire and occupational safety from all over Ukraine, which indicates the interest in the topic by both specialists and the general public.

The event covered the following topics: "Fire safety of buildings, constructions and compounds", "Fire and rescue equipment and gear", "Occupational and industrial safety", "Nuclear and radiation safety", etc.

State Emergency Service of Ukraine was represented by 5 research and educational institutions from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Cherkasy and Lviv.

PREMIERES AND STANDOUT EXHIBITS

Star Technology demonstrated new products made by Polіmaster (Bіlorus): dosimeter РМ1300 and smuggling detector РМ2030. Products of Ego Zlin (Czech Republic) were also on display: vacuum fixation splints and stretchers for patients with fractures of the limbs and other body parts. In addition, the company demonstrated a backpack dosimeter with a new function of detecting the direction towards the source of radiation.

Technology for Life presented breath protection and detection products by Dräger Safety AG & Co. KGaA (Germany) and Worthington Cylinders GmbH (Austria), among which were gas analyzers, electronic combustion control systems, soil and water contamination rapid analysis devices, gas leak detectors; thermal imaging devices, filter masks, self‑contained self‑rescue device, compressed air breathing apparatus, etc.

Talanlegprom unveiled a newly developed model of footwear for fire brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which had recently undergone military tests. New special boots withstood the test by fire, water and other severe conditions.

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018Novator Group of Companies showcased its new product – fire extinguisher simulator SIM‑2, which is based on VR technology. Among the advantages of this solution is the opportunity to train anywhere, in any weather conditions, while avoiding danger and sparing time. The simulator does not require the use of personal protective equipment and a separate fireproof space and the availability of different kinds of fire extinguishers and their recharging.

Post‑01 presented new Holmatro (Netherlands) products for firefighting and rescue operations: Greenline battery cutters and spreaders. The main advantages of the tools are the improved battery life, portability and performance.

Talan‑Pozhtech demonstrated a heat‑reflective firefighter outfit. It protects against intense thermal radiation, high temperatures, short‑term exposure to open flames, as well as adverse climatic impacts and environmental hazards arising during fire suppression and associated emergency rescue operations.International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018

Thetis – Breathing Systems showed two new products – Flir K2 thermal imagers for fire brigades, as well as backpack fire extinguisher VARIO 9 CARBON manufactured by HNE Technologies AG – an ultra‑light, mobile and versatile solution applied in defense & aerospace industries, etc.

Manu, among many other products, demonstrated a universal full‑body insulating suit DEMRONTM Class 2 CBRN manufactured by Radiation Shield Technologies (USA). The suit, thanks to DEMRONTM fabric, provides resistance to X‑ray and ionizing radiation, while reducing heat generation inside the suit.

Status‑S showcased equipment, isolating breathing devices, self‑contained self‑rescue devices by 3M Scott Fire & Safety, as well as thermal imagers, compressors for breathing devices, professional lighting systems for fire and rescue services.

Bastion‑Kyiv demonstrated modern portable aerosol fire extinguisher PFE‑1, which has a wide scope of application: on various types of transport, in the office, at construction sites, during riots, etc.

FOREIGN COMPANIES

Decontex (Belgium) showcased technology that cleans, decontaminates, disinfects and re‑impregnates firefighting clothing, while retaining its protection capabilities which helps prevent adverse health effects. This technology is based on CO2 liquid, makes sure the clothing is free of toxic substances and micro‑organisms and is odorless.

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018Hytera Communications (China), besides analogue and digital DMRs, demonstrated solutions for creating integrated data exchange and situational readiness systems. Application areas: during emergencies (natural and anthropogenic), large‑scale events and for creating security perimeters.

Flir Detection (USA) presented stationary and portable radiation and biological detectors. The identiFINDER R series systems are easy‑to‑useInternational Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018 handheld devices that quickly detect, locate, measure and identify sources of radiation, thus expediting response measures. The Griffin devices use state‑of‑the‑art mass spectrometry technology to accurately detect and identify explosives, toxic industrial chemicals, environmental pollutants, as well as a wide range of other chemicals.

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018The world‑renowned manufacturer with more than a century‑old history – Portwest (Ireland) – presented protective clothing, shoes, gloves and personal protective equipment.

Cristanini (Italy) offered SANIJET autonomous decontamination systems, which are used to treat people, vehicles, equipment, premises, etc., which are contaminated with CBRN substances; degassing of tanks and fuel tanks, their sterilization, as well as for firefighting. Besides, a hi‑tech FireStop 200/30 system for the initial firefighting activities using the patented Water Mist technology was presented at the booth. One of the important aspects of this technology is minimization of the water use to extinguish fires, while traditional extinguishing systems (hydrants, hoses, etc.) use a lot of water that often floods floors, damages and pollutes large areas and surface volumes.

Kärcher Futuretech (Germany), the world‑renowned manufacturer and supplier of modular products and systems for rapid deployment missions in disaster areas and complex emergencies, showcased solutions in the product categories: water supply systems, mobile catering systems, field camp systems and CBRN protection systems.

Canadian Technology Systems (Canada) presented a modern system for the remote disruption of explosive objects – Lance disrupter. This system is intended for the disruption of especially dangerous objects, which can not be removed from their location, at a distance of up to 150 m.

Terra Hexen (Poland) introduced an innovative fire extinguishing spray iBlock Fire - a universal environmentally‑friendly multiple‑use fire extinguisher, which can be used at the farms, as well as by firefighting and military units.

NEWCOMERS

Ukrainian manufacturer AQUASILA presented pressure fire hoses (including those covered with polymeric coating from both sides) from 25 mm to 200 mm with an operatingInternational Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018 pressure of 10 to 60 atm, and length ranging from 1 to 55 meters. The products can be used not only for extinguishing fires, but also for ensuring technological processes at the production sites, chemical industry enterprises, agriculture and housing and utilities sector.

Legio demonstrated a firefighter suit in four variants, among which the latest development was presented – "Extreme" firefighter suit. It is a lightweight, comfortable and safe outfit made of aramid fiber, weighing up to 3 kg, which has physical and technical parameters that knows no equals not only in Ukraine but also in Europe.

Benzotrade showcased chainsaws produced by Stihl (Germany), which are used for emergency rescue and firefighting missions.

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018Poseidon Store presented diving gear and equipment for rescue teams made by such companies as OTS, N.Diver, Kirby Morgan, Nardi and Scubapro.

Siniat presented certified PROMAT fireproof materials for a wide range of applications in the construction industry: boards, mixes, plasters and accessories.

TSC Engineering presented products by Pozhzashita plant, which produces fire extinguishers of various types, as well as fire hoses, cabinets, points, sandboxes and other fire equipment.

Defending Technology Ukraine unveiled a full range of equipment and components for security and fire alarm systems.

VEHICLES

During the fair, visitors had an opportunity to take a look at 5 units of modern fire and rescue vehicles.

Pozhmashina presented this year's model of a tanker truck АЦ‑4‑60 (530927)‑515М (nicknamed "Dragon" by the firefighters) onInternational Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018 MAZ‑530927 chassis. Among its many advantages, the vehicle can hold 4,000 liters of water and 400 liters of foaming agent.

This year's newcomer – specialized armored vehicle КОZАК‑5PML for EOD brigades – was unveiled during the fair. It is designed to transport unexploded mines and improvised explosive devices. The vehicle is a specialized modification of the light universal armored vehicle International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018"Kozak‑5" and is also based on Ford F550 chassis. The constructive difference lies in a longer wheel base and a special construction of its body that allows to withstand the blast wave in the event of unsuspected explosion of mines/IEDs that are transported. Besides, the vehicle has a technical compartment for special EOD equipment.

Another vehicle that received a great deal of attention was SHERP special vehicle intended for fastInternational Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018 transportation through all kinds of roads (marshland, water) of rescue teams and special equipment to emergency scenes, ensuring search & rescue operations and providing medical assistance to the affected persons.

In addition, experts had an opportunity to see a special lightweight emergency rescue vehicle based on Volkswagen Caddy chassis equipped with special hydraulic and fire rescue equipment that meets European standards. The vehicle can be used to alert the public about emergency situations, organize radiocommunication, fire extinguishing at road accident scenes, illumination and provision of medical assistance to the affected persons.

Besides, tanker truck АЦ‑4‑60(5401НЕ)‑515К on KrAZ chassis was brought to public attention. It is intended for fire protection of urban and rural settlements and industrial objects.

HIGHLIGHTS

The program comprised 13 informational and educational, science and practical seminars and conferences, as well as presentations organized by commercial companies.

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018During the fair, there was a presentation of the book "Firefighters. History of Firefighting in the Territory of Modern Ukraine", which was created by the editorial team under the guidance of the Head of UkrCPRI, Vitaliy Kropyvnytskyi, and is unparalleled in Ukraine. "In this book, we tried to look at the development of fire protection in the context of historical processes, to show the thin threads that connect these phenomena into a single whole. The history of fire protection in the territory of modern Ukraine is multidimensional and multifaceted; it is full of fates of people devoted to their cause, acts of heroism and self‑sacrifice, " said Mr. Kropyvnytskyi.

Institute of Public Administration in the Sphere of Civil Protection traditionally organized XX All‑Ukrainian Research and Practical Conference "Modern status of civil protection in Ukraine and prospects of development". The plenary session was opened by the Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Ruslan Biloshytskyi. During the conference, scientists and experts in the field of civil protection discussed the current state and prospects of reforming the supervision activities of the SESU, current issues of the safety culture in the field of civil protection, problems of the organization and improvement of professional training of rescue units, achievements and future directions of development of educational and scientific activity of higher education institutions of SESU.

UkrCPRI hosted a Round Table "Investigation of fires. Modern status and prospects of development". The event gathers and unitesInternational Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018 a wide circle of professionals of expert divisions, research and testing laboratories of the SESU and scientific community from scientific institutions and higher educational establishments to discuss issues that arise during the investigation of fires and the determination of their causes.

Resourcing Department of the SESU hosted a seminar on current relevant issues which was attended by over 50 representatives of the Executive Office and regions. Seminar attendees also got an opportunity to review the products presented at the exhibition, communicate directly with the market players and consider possible cooperation with the relevant enterprises. Department for Organization of Civil Security Measures held a educational and methodological seminar "Implementation of engineering activities of civil protection in urban development and design documentation". Department of Emergency Prevention held a seminar on state supervision in the field of civil protection, and fire & technologic safety.

Pozhmashina hosted a conference "Prospects for the development of fire and rescue equipment in Ukraine".

Decontex (Belgium) presented its products within its event "European study on the contamination and decontamination of fire intervention gear".

International Trade Fair Protection Technologies/FireTech '2018OZON S held a seminar "Application of cloud computing technologies for informing and alerting the public about emergency situations".

Representatives of Media‑Pro shared the best experience during their own event "Fire and Technogenic Safety‑2018: Best Experience".

Another highlight of the event wasthe new imageof the "Protection Technologies/FireTech" trade fair which was presented to exhibitors and visitors.

The event once again confirmed its renown of the main trade fair in Ukraine in the field of emergency response and fire & industrial safety, emphasized the importance of this industry in the overall security system of the state and provided the experts of various levels and regions of Ukraine and from abroad to get to know current market trends and share expertise.
