Report on the results of
XI International Trade Fair
Power Engineering for Industry - 2013

One of the main objectives of the functioning of power industry of Ukraine is to provide a reliable and sustainable power supply of the national economy of Ukraine. Building a competitive national economy and social infrastructure, reducing energy component in the cost of goods and services can not be implemented without increasing the technical level of energy utilities, modernization of technology processes, introducing energy - saving technologies. However, today's realities firstly show that in industrial production old, energy intensive equipment has been mostly used that requires an immediate update.

That's why the hold of the XI International trade fair "Power Engineering for Industry - 2013" and the XI International Forum "Fuel and energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future" (September 24 – 26, 2013, International Exhibition Center) was so actual and socially important for the energy and industrial community.
The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine and International Exhibition Centre.

A unique feature of this project is its format, which is based on the close relationship between power sector and industrial structures, constructive interaction between business and government, industrial cooperation of industrialists and entrepreneurs. The common interests of all participants in the energy market, both suppliers and consumers, exchange of information in business, industry, professional and scientific fields contribute to the solution of reliable power supply, saving power - consumption, providing energy - saving equipment and advanced energy efficient technologies.

For years in a row "Power Engineering for Industry" trade fair has been remaining the main meeting place for heads of state agencies, power supply companies, industry experts, academics, producers of power engineering and electrical equipment, power specialists of various industries, professionals of construction, project and electric installation organizations, public utilities and transport infrastructure and so on.

The evidence of a special governmental attention and the appreciation of the professional level of the XI International Forum "Fuel and Energy Complex of Ukraine: the Present and the Future" and the XI International specialized trade fair "Power Engineering for Industry" was the presence of high officials at the events opening.

On September 24, the opening ceremony was attended by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boiko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety Mykola Martynenko, head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Ian Tombinsky, Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Sergey Cech, General Director of the International Exhibition Centre Anatoly Tkachenko and other honored guests.

While opening the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Boyko read off the speach of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee Nikolai Martynenko conveyed greetings from the Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Rybak, the Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Ian Tombinskyy made a speech, the Deputy Minister Sergei Cech handed the greetings from the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Eduard Stavisky. In particular, the greetings noted that traditional holding of this large trade fair in Kiev promotes the soonest modernization and technological upgrading of enterprises, providing a significant impulse to the growth of business activity, development and international industrial cooperation, and has a great practical benefit to all the participants and visitors.

After the official opening the honored guests got acquainted with the exposition, the total area of which was about 7650 square meters. "Power Engineering for Industry - 2013" trade fair focused at one platform powerful production, research and investment potential of domestic and foreign enterprises in the fields of energy, power engineering, electrical engineering, industrial lighting, power electronics, automation and information technology.
